Hunting

Colorado is known for it's large mountain ranges,  plentiful pocket meadows and pure-water ponds. It's no wonder we host one of the best hunting spots, where the world's largest elk herd is located. Areas 25, 26, and 35 are prime hunting spots where our drop camps are located.

You have the options to use a long-bow, be modern with a rifle or choose muzzle-loading. We accommodate most types and styles, as long as you have a hunters safety card.  Muzzleloader, and first rifle seasons are on lottery drawing for elk. All deer licenses are also on a drawing. These applications for the licenses can be obtained from Colorado Parks & Wildlife at their website http://cpw.state.co.us/buyapply/pages/hunting.aspx. The application deadline is around the 1st of April every year.

*** A hunters safety card is required in the State of Colorado to purchase a hunting license for those born after January 1, 1949.
